Getting here
Guildford is just 40 minutes from central London and very easy to reach whether you are travelling by car, train, airline, coach or bus. We have put some info and links below to help you find out more before you travel.
By air
Guildford is perfectly located between Heathrow and Gatwick International Airports. You can get the train directly from Gatwick to Guildford for £11.20 off peak. From Heathrow there’s an airport bus to Woking where you can pick up a connection to Guildford. Alternatively, book an airport taxi such as the Silver Arrows.
Luton and Stansted airports – both located north of London are approximately 2 hours away. To travel from London City Airport to Guildford use Transport For London and then National Rail or South West Trains from London (Waterloo). From Luton, take the First Capital Connect train to St Pancras. Jump on the Piccadilly line at Kings Cross to Leicester Square, then jump on the Northern Line to Waterloo. There are regular trains to Guildford from Waterloo station.
By rail
Guildford is one of the larger stations around the South East of England. It is well connected to Woking, London Waterloo, Portsmouth Harbour, etc. The staff are very helpful at the station too. It is a safe place and has 2 exits, one towards the town (near platform 1) and the other towards the university (near platform 8). Once there, a cab to Barnett Hill will take about 15 minutes.
By car
Barnett Hill is just south of Guildford and about 35 miles from London. It takes about an hour give or take if you pop along the A3, then the Woking Road and A320 in Guildford. Then take the A281, A248 and B2128 to Blackheath Lane. Here’s a link of the route from Google to help you find us.
By sea
For those guest arriving from Europe by boat, you can take a car ferry to Dover with P&O, My Ferry Link or DFD Seaways. Prices vary from £29 to £110. The crossing takes about 1 hour 40 minutes, but allow time for boarding and disembarking. The drive from Dover to Wonersh takes about 1 hour 44 minutes along the M20, M25 so give yourself plenty of time.
